Two Poems
Ben Latini

Germany.
1962.
Something happens.
A man responds in harsh guttural tones.

Car heart sparkles.
Carbon dated back a ways:
some time around yore.
Trinkets skittered over volcanic hills
and landed in flowerbeds
and so they grew, into giant expressions
of something or other.
You can see them in art catalogs
But they're hidden and guarded by Nicholas Cage.
