To return to the Mayans,
the pyramids I came up with were
like the speedcubing, astonishing, with roots
of corn and knowledge of the source of names.
There is the 'peninsula' and the 'isthmus,'
where you are from -- is never the same.
Or for that matter an isthmus and a strait,
not the same at all, but not very different.
Last time I've been around there, and I've
never been around there, it was as beautiful
as I could have imagined it. That is exactly
the point, not the rituals, but the aura.
