Before Facebook, Twitter, texting, blogging, email, and everything else, the bride and groom each kept a ledger to record the details of their special day.

After the ceremony, the ledgers were smeared with flour and buried under the chicken coop.


Also, I wanted a four-speed juicer.
If the groom's family did not keep chickens, the bride was pilloried.
